A Genealogical Riddle The third item on this page of Isaac Gray's Memorandum Book presents a seemingly unanswerable problem for quick minds to unravel. Isaac Gray, 1717-1792, was a Philadelphia grocer who held a large range of interests in such things as agriculture, manufacturing, science and philosophy. He represented Philadelphia County in the Pennsylvania Assembly in 1786. He served as a curator and councillor to the American Philosophical Society.
