The Society reports with deep regret the death on 27 January 1964, of BERNARDO HOFF KNIGHT, at the age of seventy-five. A member of the Society since 1930, Mr. Knight had served on our Board of Directors from 1960 to 1963, when ill health forced his retirement. His interest in genealogy spanned more than half a century; for fifty-four years he had been a member of the Pennsylvania Society, Sons of the Revolution. Other memberships included the New Jersey Society of the Cincinnati, the Military Order of the Loyal Legion, and the Historical Society of Pennsylvania. He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Gentry, a son, Bernardo Hoff Knight, Jr., four grandchildren and a sister. The Society also reports with deep regret the death on 23 May 1964, of CHARLES STEWART WURTS, JR., at the age of sixty-three. Faithful Treasurer of our Society from 1949 to 1960, Mr. Wurts had also been active in patriotic societies for many years. He had been a member of the Society of Colonial Wars in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania since 1941, and had been that society's Deputy Governor since 1954. He was also a member of the Military Order of the Loyal Legion, and had served as Vice President of the Historical Society of Pennsylvania since 1954. He is survived by his wife, the former Barbara Gerhard, a brother and two sisters. 275-
