A Genealogist's Guide to Pennsylvania Records compiled by Helen Hutchison Woodroofe M ANY EXCELLENT BIBLIOGRAPHIES of Pennsylvania material have been published over the years, but these compendiums tend to deal with published books and ignore other valuable sources. A projected county-by-county guide to "hidden sources" in the collections of The Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania will be presented as a convenient check-list to Pennsylvania records. The series begins with a list of sources of general interest for Pennsylvania state-wide, and will be followed by lists for each, of the sixty-seven counties. The entries will be followed by their "call or shelf number" in the library of The Historical Society of Pennsylvania; or by the volume and page numbers of the magazines and archives that are available in many other libraries. The listings have been selected from the following: Collections of The Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania, indicated by "call or shelf number". Publications of The Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania, 1895-1945, I-XV. (PGSP) The Pennsylvania Genealogical Magazine, 1945-1979, XVI-XXXI.
