Price Extract from the Minutes of the Fourth Baptist Church March 21, 1860. A special meeting of the church was held this evening at the call of the Cam' appointed to select a suitable location for the erection of a mission Chapel. The Com° presented the following Report: Your Come appointed to recommend a lot on which to erect a Mission Chapel, report that they have attended to that duty; and recommend as a site the N. E. corner of 4. & Susquehanna avenue; that the church take up 70 ft. fronting on 4 0 at., which can be obtained on annual ground rent of $2.00 per foot. The only objection which occurs to your Cam' that needs to be considered is the way of providing for the expenses of paying the ground rent. The reply to this is that the expense to the church of sustaining the School at Norris st. is not less than $100; the other $40 we trust can be easily provided for through the kindness of friends, and the co-operation of the Sabbath School; besides at this location there would be a prospect of gathering a congregation which would contribute towards defraying the expenses. The location is one, around which, improvements are daily increasing, and the value of land is rising to rapidly, that in a few years, a lot cannot be secured in that vicinity, except at a greatly advanced price.
