BRATILER OF PHILADELPHIA FROMBISCHWEILER IN 17 65 9 September 1765 on the Betsey 1 Hans Michael Brattier (signature) Johann Jacob Brattier (signature) wife Maria Catherina (Huguenel) The departure of this family is noted in the Brattler Stammtaf el, which says Jacob has gone to Philadelphia,2 and in Poulet's chart for his in-laws, the Huguenels, which says that she has gone to Philadelphia. 3 Jacob's burial record in Philadelphia, with an age matching his Bischweiler baptism, clinches the identification. Other than these records, no mention was been found of the Brattlers in America as part of this study. Jacob married in Bischweiler and apparently his wife came with him, but no indication has been found that they had children or that Michael married. GENEALOGICAL SUMMARY 1.
