Notices GIFTS AND BEQUESTS A non-profit institution, the Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania is dependent on private sources of income. Gifts and bequests will aid it greatly in fulfilling its purposes as a repository of materials relating to Pennsylvania family history. The following form of bequest is suggested: I give, devise and bequeath to the Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania, a corporation duly existing under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, now located at 1300 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107, (or any successor to it) dollars (or property, securities, etc.) for its general purposes. The President of the Society will welcome an opportunity to discuss bequests for specific purposes. NATIONAL INSTITUTE ON GENEALOGICAL RESEARCH A special one-week Bicentennial Session on genealogical research will be held at the National Archives Building in Washington, D.C., 19-23 July 1976. Concentrating on the Revolutionary period, the Colonial period, and bridging the Atlantic, the sessions will be conducted by leading genealogists from the United States and Britain. Director will be Mr. Bill It. Linder, director of the Central Reference Division, National Archives and Records Service. Attendance is limited, and applications with a check for $75 should be sent at the earliest opportunity to Bicentennial Session Central Reference Division (NNC) National Archives (GSA) Washington, DC 20408 NOTICE Because of the continuing requests by libraries and other interested institutions for back copies of the Magazine, the Society's reserve supply of many early issues has been exhausted. With a view to replenishing this supply, the Society appeals to Members for the contribution of old issues no longer needed by owners. Copies of the first twenty volumes are especially desired. The Society will gladly pay postage in excess of $1.00 for such donations, or, if convenient, arrange for pick up. All contributions will be acknowledged by letter, with an indication of estimated value for income tax purposes. For further information, please get in touch with the Society Office.
