The Moravian church is one of the oldest religious organizations in Lancaster. Since 1746 the congregation has worshipped at the site of West Orange and North Market streets. The graveyard, consisting of two lots of ground located at the northeast corner of North Prince and West Marion streets, was “ used as a cemetery in trust for the use and benefit of the Moravian Church of the city of Lancaster since June, 1794,” The graveyard is no longer in existence. In 1917 it was acquired as a site for a post-office, and the remains of those interred in it, which included some of the best families of old Lancaster, were removed
to Greenwood cemetery.— WILLIAM F .WOBNEB,]
