Elias Conwell and Esther Tatem (daughter of Charles and Rachel Tatem) were married on the 14th day of November, 1813. Margaret Reynolds Conwell was born on the 17th day of May, 1815. Becker, business man in Philadelphia, was bom in German¬ town in the year 1751, on the 24th of August, and died in the very hot summer of the year 1780, in the prime of life, on the 12th of August, due to the consequences of drinking very cold water. His straight¬ forward ways procured him the people's esteem and respect. “Man bora of woman is of few days and full of trouble; he blooms like a flower which will finally wither and drop to the ground without leaving a trace." 190 Bible Records. Samuel Becker was born in Philadelphia on the 2nd of March, 1759, and died on the 25th of September of the year 1793 from the bad fever (yellow fever) which took so many lives in Philadelphia. More than four thousand people died. He was honest and industrious in his trade ; he was virtuous, so that everybody who knew him liked him and esteemed him. My mother-in-law, Anna Katharina Sehlesman, died on the 27th of April, 1799, at the age of 57 years, one month and 3 days, after a fatal disease lasting for eleven days. Gottfried Becker was born in Germantown on the 1st of January, 1754, and died on the 5th of July, 1801. He reached an age of 47 years, 6 months and 5 days. His disease was pains in the joints that became worse, due to a swelling on the feet and vomiting, which finally ended his life, between 12 and 3 o'clock. He was honest and respect¬ able in his mode of life. Johann Friedrich Schlosman was bom at Warsig in the County of Wertheim, Franconia, on the 19th of April, 1733, as the son of Christian and respectable parents; he arrived in America in the year 1752 and died on the 28th of September, 1805, after having reached an age of 72 years, five months and nine days. During his life he had always been a religious man. Elizabeth Margaretha Becker was born at Odemheira in the Duchy of Zweibriicken as the daughter of Christian and respectable parents and raised in the reformed religion. In the year 1750 she was married to Weyland Christopher Becker; five children were bom, of which one is still alive. She died from a paralytie stroke on the 31st of March, 1808, at the age of 84 years, 2 months and 7 days. Samuel Becker was born in Philadelphia on the 18th of May, 1799, and died on the 5th of October, 1825, in the City of Dresden, in the State of Ohio, from bilious fever; he was laid up for 4 days. He had traveled much and faced great dangers in his life. He died in his 27th year. Johann Remagus Becker died in Philadelphia from consumption on Friday, the 25th of July, 1829, at 2 o'clock A. M., at the age of 66 years, 5 months and 6 days. He was buried in the family vault of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. John on Sunday, the 27th of July, with his bereaved widow, children and a large number of friends in the funeral procession. Mary, wife of John R. Baker, departed this life on Thursday morn¬ ing, on the 8th of August, A. D. 1850, at 40 minutes past 10 o'clock (of old age). Aged 83 years, 3 months, 17 days, and was interred in Family Vault at St. John’s Lutheran Church on Monday morning, the 12th instant. [In English.] [Inside Back Cover.] Today, on the 28th of December, 1806, a daughter was bom to me, and I had her christened with the name Matilda Baker on the 25th of January, 1810, by Rev. Helmuth. Today, on the 25th of December, 1809, a son was born to me, and I Bible Records. 191 tad him christened with the names Heinrich Slesman-Baker on the 14th of January, 1810, by Rev. Schmitt. This was written down on December 4, 1811, at 5 o’clock in the morning. I, John Remagius Becker, was bom in Philadelphia on the 19th of February, 1763, and was married to Maria Sleaman on the 10th of De¬ cember, 1791; we begot one son, called Carl Heinrich Becker, on the 20th of February, 1793, and my wife was bom in Philadelphia on the 22nd of April, 1767. My son was christened by Rev. Helmuth. Today, on the 23rd of April, 1797, a daughter was bom to me, and I had her christened Anna Maria Becker by Rev. Schmitt on the 13th of May, 1797. Today, on the 18th of May, 1799, a son was bom to me, and I had him christened with the name Samuel Becker on the 9th of June, 1799, by Rev. Helmuth. Today, on the 7th of January, 1803, a daughter was born to me, and I had her christened with the name Eleanor Baker on the 30th by Rev. Schmitt. My father, aged 86 years, 5 months, 17 days, Christoph Becker, was born in the year of Christ 1718 on the 6th of March in the Borough of Kalb in the Duchy of Wiirtemberg and arrived in this country in tho year 1748. In 1749 he was married to the widow Elizabeth Brunner, who had no children. They had six children. He had been laid up for quite some time, due to his age and weakness. He died in Philadelphia on the 23rd of August, at 9 O’clock in the evening, in the year 1804. He referred to the 1st Book of Chronicles, 30th Chapter, 15th Verse. A stray Record found in Becker Bible: Catherine Augusta bora 16 March, 1823, died 16 March, 1824. Caroline, born 17 March, 1825, died 10 February, 1827. Henry Slesman Baker died 2 June, 1844, ae. 34 years, 5 months, 8 days; buried at Laurel Hill. Eleanor Schaeffer died September 14, 1845 in 43d year. Catherine Boiler died November 10, 1847, in 70th year; buried at Laurel HilL Christopher Baker buried at Zion 's Church, afterward in lot of Zion ’s Church at Laurel Hill. KREBS FAMILY BIBLE RECORD. October 24th, 1875, Sister Maria Grieff died. She was buried on the 27 at Orwigsburg; aged 60 years, 4 months, 14 days. January 3rd, 1879, Brother Henry Krebs died. He was buried on the 8 at Orwigsburg; aged 74 years, 1 month, 6 days. September 14th, 1885, Brother Daniel Krebs died. He was buried on the 17th, at 2 o’clock, in Pottsville cemetery; aged 78 years, 3 months. 7 days. February 17, 1886, Father Michael Krebs died at 2 o’clock P. M. He was buried on the 20th ; aged 72 years, 10 months and 5 days. Violetta Dreher, wife of Michael Krebs, died August 31, 1905, aged 91 years, 9 months, 14 days. Born November 17, 1813. Krebs was married to Mary J. Boughner, November 22, 1865. February 13, 1842, at half past 8 o'clock, Manda Victoria died in the morning. She was buried on the 15th. April 12, 1900, Father Lucian W. Krebs died. He was buried Easter Sunday, April 15; aged 56 years, 5 months, 13 days. October 9, 1924, Mary Jane Boughner Krebs died at Quakake. She was buried in the New Lutheran Cemetery at Ringtown, Penna., Oc¬ tober 12. Children of Lucian W. and Mary (Boughner) Krebs. Franklin Sylvester was born 21 October, 1866; baptized 24 November, 1866, by the Rev. Josiah Renninger; sponsors, father and mother. Henry was born October 7th, 1869. He was baptized 24 day of No¬ vember by the Rev. N. Weiksel; sponsors, father and mother. Annie May was born July 5, 1877. She was baptized 10th August, 1877, by the Rev. Edward C. Miller; sponsors, father and mother. Henry C. Krebs was married to Katharine M. Stauffer, August 7, 1890. Annie M. Krebs was married to Samuel A. Hart, December 28, 1903, at her home, by the Rev. A. P. Phlueger of Ringtown. Franklin Sylvester Krebs, bom October 21, 1866; died July 20, 1922, aged 55 years, 8 months, 29 days. Children of Samuel A. and Annie (Krebs) Hart. May Margaret Hart, daughter of Samuel A. Hart and Annie (Krebs) Hart, was born in Parnassus, Westmoreland County, Penna., September 7, 1906. She was baptized in the New Kensington Lutheran Church by the Pastor, Rev. Ira M. Wallace. Ruth Gertrude Hart, daughter of Samuel A. and Annie Krebs Hart, was born in Philadelphia, July 9, 1911. She was baptized in Ringtown by the Lutheran Pastor, Rev. A. P. Phlueger. Susanna Krebs, wife of Nephew Jacob Krebs, died July 29th, 1844, aged 26 years, 6 months, 11 days (nephew of Michael Krebs). Brother (of Mrs. Michael Krebs ) Daniel Dreher died April 27th, 1852, aged 37 years, 3 months and 8 days. February 10th, 1859, at 7 o'clock in the morning, Father Daniel Dreher died. (Father of Mrs. Michael Krebs.) He was buried on the 12. Aged 71 years and 3 days. April 12th, 1849, Sister Mary Dreher died, aged 30 years. (Sister of Mrs. Krebs.) Brother William F.
