At the twenty-eighth annual meeting of the Society held March 1, 1920, the following officers and directors were elected: President, J. Granville Leach. Vice-Presidents, Charles P. Keith, Edward S. The usual supper for the members and guests followed. Becognizing the importance of the Society becoming an incorporated body, the Board of Directors made application to the Court of Common Pleas, No. 5, for a charter, which was duly granted, April 9th, 1920. In this connection it should be noted that the proceedings were con¬ ducted by Edward 8. Sayres, Esq., one of the vice-presidents of the Society, that the master appointed to pass upon the application, Alfred G. Baker Lewis, Esq., is also a member of the Society, and that both gentlemen gave their services without charge. At a regular monthy meeting of the Board of Directors held April 19, 1920, Miss May Atherton Leach was formally elected Editor of the Publications of the Society, she having aeted in this capacity since 1915. At the following meeting, May 17, 1920, the death of Mr. William Supplee Lloyd, a faithful and efficient member of the Board, was noted with keen regret and profound sorrow. At the meeting of January 17, 1921, the passing of Miss Anne Hannum Cresson, a learned genealogist, a valued friend, a member of the Society since September 16, 1894, and a member of the Associate Com¬ mittee of Women, was announced with a deep sense of loss.
